Father's Day has passed, but it's still worth watching our own Parent Schmarent columnist Christopher Noxon telling a tale fit for father's day and any day for dads.
I am a single Dad and enjoy dating. Except I am really only interested in seeing women who are A.) Childless, B.) Have children, but they are up & out of the house &/or C.) Doesn't want any or any more children.Am I an asshole?? I am just so DONE with that. I find women who don't have kids and who aren't looking to have them really fucking sexy! But it is pretty difficult to find women in my age bracket (late 30s, early 40s) who don't. There must be SOME out there, right?
Date night is this Friday, and we are so excited to be in a liquor store and shop at our local dirty movie/novelty shop at the same time with each other. After that we will open the windows, smoke in the living room, order pizza, rent/watch hilariously-funny movies, finished up with one of the aforementioned movies purchased, wake up early and clean. I married the perfect woman.
"I am engaged to someone who cleans the house, cooks, takes care of our dog, but has absolutely zero passion or initiative in the bedroom. Lately I have been fantasizing about her best friend who does not cook or clean but oozes sex and has a great body. I know it is wrong so why can't I stop myself?"Sex is a major part of a marriage. People get written off as 'pigs' or 'shallow' for it, and yeah it's not the whole marriage but whatever's going on (or not going on) in the background sure affects everything else. Address this now, and decide if it's gonna work. See what she's willing to try, and what you're willing to do. If it's not addressed now, resentment will build over the years and eat you up from the inside out.
I am engaged to someone who cleans the house, cooks, takes care of our dog, but has absolutely zero passion or initiative in the bedroom. Lately I have been fantasizing about her best friend who does not cook or clean but oozes sex and has a great body. I know it is wrong so why can't I stop myself? Turn and run- do not marry this girl!! If you want someone to cook and clean you can hire a maid, but being stuck in a passionless relationship will eat your life away little by little, trust me I did it for 5 years before getting up the nerve to leave.
To anyone who has stuck it out with an alcoholic spouse or one with an eating disorder...I've done both too. My first wife had anorexia first and then bulimia later. Her drinknig came and went but the whole time she had an alcoholic type personality. Her moods were horrendous. No amount of counseling helped. The kids were afraid of her and I was at my wit's end. Splitting up was a big mess but honestly, if we hadn't split I would have ended up in a mental hospital. I feel for anyone who is dealing with that shit. Hope you can get out of it someday. And DON'T let her get pregnant!!!!
